LUNCH PROGRAM 12:00pm – 1:30pm

Agile for Business Advantage 12:00pm – 1:30pm We will have a special lunch on Agile methodologies, a new way of developing software that is paying off for many organizations by speeding development, lowering costs, and more effectively aligning requirements with results. Agile techniques can be used on many different types of software projects, from green screen maintenance to java modernization. You will gain some valuable information from two organizations on the forefront of the Agile development wave. First, Brian Boelsterli of Creoss will give a business introduction to the benefits of Agile. Second, MKS will present MKS Integrity – ALM tooling that includes support for the Agile development. Agile Focus 2:00pm – 4:00pm The afternoon sessions will be a deep dive into Agile and how to implement this technology in your software development organization. At the end of the day participants will gain an understanding of how Agile and BPM will benefit their organization, especially in legacy code development environments. Topics will include:

  • Practical advice on adopting Agile
  • Project examples
  • Relating Agile to legacy software maintenance and development
  • Using Agile software to facilitate Agile methodology adoption

Brian has authored a number of papers and books on "agile" development methodology. Furthermore, Brian and his firm, CREOSS Business Solutions, developed "Paceline", an Agile software engineering framework that accelerates agile principles that are currently being used at a number of "Fortune" and Government accounts.

Marty Acks of MKS will be speaking on software tooling to support Agile projects.
